Welcome!
My name is Michaela Gripenstam, I'm a Swedish game developer mostly experienced with making 2D games. I graduated from my Bachelor Degree in digital art and multimedia in 2024, and am currently doing my Master's degree on interactive technology and digital games. Games and art (especially painting) have always been the biggest passions of my life so I figured I could merge them together, and work with game design/development.
In my game development you can expect horror games, adventure games, farm simulator type games, and interactive story games.
So far I have participated in eight games, which of some are not on itch:
In "Classroom Clash" I mostly did the animations, as well as modeled the 3D models of the cars and vespa.
In "Calaboico" I was in charge of all programming, Unity game building, level building, and cutscenes, as well as helped with the story and some of the art.
In "The Epic Baker Mouse" I was the Senior designer and animator, in charge of the overall design of the game, work distribution, rigging, and animation.
In "I Have Become Nothing" I did all programming, Godot game building, background environment design, story writing, music, sound, 2D rigging and animation, and 3D objects modelling. (available in alpha version)
In "KIRUNA" I was the creative director, artist, animator, and also in charge of sound and music composing.
In the twine game "Withering Tears" I was in charge of design, animations, and story structure.
In the game "Fado of Blood" I was in charge of all sound and music.
And, finally, "A Scroll Down Memory Lane", is a 3D walking simulator video game prototype to accompany my Master thesis. This game was done by me.
